Korey Lewis of New Orleans, Louisiana, is a sophomore Marketing/Pre-Law major with a 3.9 GPA and the fourth and final Tom Joyner Hercules Scholars for July 2014.
A future entrepreneur, business capitalist and billionaire (his words), Korey says he has been creating multiple products that will revolutionize their industries. And, he plans to use his "success and influence to motivate other African American males to not only dream but to take the necessary steps to bring those dreams to reality."
Active in the community and on the campus of Huston-Tillotson (HT), Lewis is a member of the American Marketing Association, HT Student Government Association, International Student Association, Oxford Club and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, inc. Additionally, he has been volunteering in the Austin Walk for Autism and Coats for Kids, the Houston Brookhollow Church, and Habitat for Humanities in New Orleans.
We are excited about his future as he "fully intends to sow seeds of self-empowerment, responsibility, knowledge, civic activity, individual freedom and opportunity into the community that helped shape and mold" him. Share our enthusiasm and forward this email to others.
Students like Lewis need the support of donors from every walk of life to help ensure they complete their college matriculation and move into the world of work prepared to make an impact.
