<dt><h2>Class Description</h2></dt>
<dd><p></p><p style="margin: 0">The purpose of this class is to perform professional support to a functional area within an assigned College department or function.</p></dd>
<dt><h2>Minimum Requirements</h2></dt>
<dd><p></p><p style="margin: 0;"><strong><u>Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field</u></strong> and three (3) years of professional-level experience in human resources administering workplace accommodations under the ADAAA, Family Medical Leave, and Worker’s Compensation, preferably in a higher education setting. </p><br><em style="color: inherit; text-align: center; text-indent: 0px;" data-pasted="true"><strong style=" font-weight: 700;"><em><span data-pasted="true" style=" color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-align: center; text-indent: 0px;">Compensation within the posted range is determined by a candidate's education level and/or years of experience in the field. Generally, employees are hired in the lower third of the scale.</span></em></strong></em></dd>
<dt><h2>Class Specific Essential Duties</h2></dt>
<dd><p></p><ol style="margin-left: -0.25in; margin-bottom: 3pt"><li>Provide leadership and technical proficiency to assigned College division and/or function.</li><li>Remain knowledgeable about the College, its structure, culture, policies, and practices.</li><li>Serve as point of contact for internal and external organizations.</li><li>Prepare and analyze reports, as requested.</li><li>Develop policies and procedures, as required.</li><li>Serve as an advocate for the College and its students, as required.</li><li>Serve as liaison between College departments, faculty and/or staff, as required</li></ol></dd>
<dt><h2>Position Specific Essential Duties</h2></dt>
<dd><p></p><ol style="margin-left: -0.25in; margin-bottom: 3pt"><li>Under the direction of the Director, Benefits, plans, develops, coordinates, and administers policies, processes, programs, and activities to support the college’s workplace accessibility and accommodations efforts in conjunction with employee relations and equity programs and, Family Medical Leave and Worker’s Compensation. </li><li>Provides case management for ADAAA and administers Worker’s Compensation and FMLA in collaboration with the Director, Benefits.</li><li>Serves as the primary contact and subject matter expert for management, staff and faculty regarding accessibility, workplace accommodations, and related regulatory compliance issues. </li><li>In collaboration with the Director, Benefits, evaluates, researches, and administers faculty & staff requests for workplace accommodations. Facilitates and participates in the interactive process to identify and assess options for providing reasonable accommodations and access to employees in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and other disability laws.</li><li>Under supervision of Director, Benefits, advises and assists faculty and staff with benefits and accessibility issues related to CCBC policies and procedures, HR Directives, union agreements, union grievances, disciplinary actions, EEO complaints, and requests for ADAAA accommodations.</li><li>Fosters relationships with the college community to facilitate awareness of potential accessibility issues, regulatory compliance, and proactively addresses potential problems.</li><li>Maintains compliance records and prepares reports related to area of responsibility.</li><li>Under the direction of the Director, Benefits, develops and disseminates communications, including administrative directives, procedures, forms, brochures, etc. in various formats to the college community on policy/procedural changes, current and new legislation to promote and encourage compliance. </li><li>Assists the Director, Benefits in developing, administering, and monitoring college programs and activities in support of CCBC’s commitment to fairness, inclusion, equity, non-discrimination and Affirmation Action. Remains current on all areas related to federal, state and local employment, civil rights and labor laws. Maintains awareness of new and revised federal and state employment, benefit, affirmative action and equal opportunity legislation, regulations and judicial rulings.</li><li>Develops and delivers ADAAA training to supervisors and employees.</li><li>With assistance from the Director, Benefits develops metrics related to ADAAA, maintains data bases, collects and analyzes data, makes recommendations based on findings. Tracks and maintains confidential files and data related to ADAAA requests and cases. </li></ol></dd>
