<dt><h2>Class Description</h2></dt>
<dd><p></p><p style="margin: 0">CCBC is currently seeking an individual prepared to teach mathematics courses ranging from developmental through differential equations, including linear algebra and statistics. Fifteen credit hours of instruction per semester, office hours, college and community service, and ongoing professional development are required. The position is located on one of our campuses but may require teaching classes at other locations scheduled during days, evenings or weekends. </p><p style="margin: 0">The ideal candidate will prepare, teach, and evaluate courses in the academic discipline for which hired; seek continuous involvement in teaching methodology and student-centered learning; stay current in their field; develop goals and objectives in advance of each academic year; participate with other faculty in managing courses, curricula and academic policy and contribute to the success of the learning college. </p></dd>
<dt><h2>Minimum Requirements</h2></dt>

<dt><h2>Class Specific Essential Duties</h2></dt>
<dd><p></p><ul style="margin-bottom: 3pt; margin-top: 0"><li style="margin: 0">Facilitate and support student learning by developing and providing clear and effective instruction using traditional and technology-based methods.</li><li style="margin: 0">Meet all classes as assigned during instructional periods. Basic teaching load is 15 contact hours each week.</li><li style="margin: 0">Communicate effectively with students by disseminating academic information including syllabi and academic policies and by responding to e-mails and phone calls from students in a timely manner.</li><li style="margin: 0">Provide opportunities to meet with students (office hours) at least one hour each week for scheduled or unscheduled meetings for each three credits of teaching contact hours.</li><li style="margin: 0">Provide effective and appropriate assessment with prompt qualitative and quantitative feedback.</li><li style="margin: 0">Keep instructional materials and student work organized and accessible. </li><li style="margin: 0">Maintain the Learning Management System site, providing students access to syllabi, grades and other supplemental course material.</li><li style="margin: 0">Support students and other college units and comply with relevant state and federal laws (nominate tutors, write letters of recommendation, refer students to counseling, assist students with special needs, suggest library purchases, help resolve registration issues, maintain student privacy).</li><li style="margin: 0">Collaborate with colleagues in ongoing curricular development including content update, curricular alignment, assessment activities and record keeping.</li><li style="margin: 0">Collaborate with staff by completing and submitting reports and documentation in a timely manner.</li><li style="margin: 0">Attend and participate in committee, departmental, School and College meetings.</li><li style="margin: 0">Provide College and Community Service through collegial and individual initiatives.</li><li style="margin: 0">Maintain and develop professional expertise through ongoing professional development or scholarship.</li></ul><p style="margin: 0 0 4.5pt">ial Job Duties are intended to be examples of duties and are not intended to be all inclusive.
