<dt><h2>Minimum Requirements</h2></dt>
<dd><p><span style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px;" data-pasted="true"> Bachelor's degree in accounting or business-related field required; CPA or Master’s degree preferred. A minimum of four years of current accounting experience is required. Experience as an Accountant in a non-profit institution preferred. Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, including the standards of the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB 116 and 117), accounting and reporting for a non-profit institution. Proficient in computer skills and experience with all Microsoft Office Applications. Superior Excel skills to create analytical spreadsheets and general word processing for Board of Director meetings</span><s style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px;"><span style=" color: inherit;">/</span></s><span style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px;"> and presentations. Automated accounting system experience required, preferably in a non-profit institution. <dt><h2>Class Specific Essential Duties</h2></dt>
<dd><p></p><div style="margin-top:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:8.0pt;margin-left:0in;" data-pasted="true"><ol style="margin-bottom: 3pt;"><li style="margin-top:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:8.0pt;margin-left:0in;"><span style="color:inherit;">Oversees the finance and budget operations for the Foundation which will include partnering and working closely with Foundation staff.</span></li><li style="margin-top:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:8.0pt;margin-left:0in;"><span style="color:inherit;">Prepares and ensures the accuracy of monthly and year-end financial statements and is responsible for monthly reports and analyses provided to the Board and investment committee.</span></li><li style="margin-top:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:8.0pt;margin-left:0in;"><span style="color:inherit;">Responsible for compliance with FASB Accounting Standards by staying current with updates and effectively implementing Accounting Standards updates (ASUs)</span></li><li style="margin-top:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:8.0pt;margin-left:0in;"><span style="color:inherit;">Responsible for managing and leading the annual audit and preparation of all audit schedules and the 990 for the Foundation.</span></li><li style="margin-top:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:8.0pt;margin-left:0in;"><span style="color:inherit;">Responsible for coordinating, preparing, and reviewing the annual budgets for the Foundation, including tracking, forecasting and analyzing trends.</span></li></ol></div></dd>
<dt><h2>Position Specific Essential Duties</h2></dt>
<dd><p></p><div style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px; margin: 0px;" data-pasted="true"><ol style=" padding-left: 2rem; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 3pt; margin-left: -0.25in;"><li style=" margin: 0px;"> Responsible for the maintenance, accuracy and reliability of the Foundation chart of accounts and related processing within the Financial Edge financial management system.</li><li style=" margin: 0px;"> Perform internal auditing functions and analysis.</li><li style=" margin: 0px;"> Review, analyze, and determine causes of any inaccuracies in financial records and prepare correcting entries.</li><li style=" margin: 0px;"> Monitor and analyze all financial activity, including cash receipts and disbursements and ensure that these transactions are appropriately interfaced with the College’s systems. </li><li style=" margin: 0px;"> Prepare monthly investment reports on the result of the pool or pools of investment and run the Financial Edge Endowment jobs that properly allocate realized and unrealized investment results to the various scholarship funds.</li><li style=" margin: 0px;"> Assists with the preparation, review and timely submission of the Internal Revenue form 990.</li><li style=" margin: 0px;"> Revise or design financial reports utilizing mainframe and/or microcomputer report generation software to meet the needs of the system.</li><li style=" margin: 0px;"> Develop the annual financial statements in accordance with related not for profit accounting standards, including all footnotes and supporting schedules and coordinate the review with external auditors.</li><li style=" margin: 0px;"> Analyze and interpret new Accounting Standard Updates (ASUs) to assure compliance with current requirements.</li><li style=" margin: 0px;"> Reconcile various subsidiary ledgers with the general ledger, e.g., pledge accounts receivable, accounts payable, etc.</li><li style=" margin: 0px;"> Coordinate the establishment of new scholarship accounts and other system security changes for the Foundation. </li><li style=" margin: 0px;"> Prepare various internal financial statements and complex analyses and reports.</li><li style=" margin: 0px;"> Assist with Foundation grant accounting and reporting.</li><li style=" margin: 0px;"> Coordinate and manage the budget development process.</li><li style=" margin: 0px;"> Develop, analyze and recommend enhancements to and methodologies for financial reporting and control systems.</li><li style=" margin: 0px;"> Review and ensure that financial management reports are of proper form and content and convey accurate financial results.</li></ol></div><p style="margin: 0px; color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px;"> Essential Job Duties are intended to be examples of duties and are not intended to be all inclusive.
