Federal Cloud Solutions Offering Lead - DoW & Intel (AWS)
Are you an AWS Cloud Engineer with a passion for helping Public Sector customers innovate by leveraging cloud technologies? Do you have a track record of successful engagements where you have led deployments, migrations, and modernization projects? Do you have hands-on experience with AWS? As a GDIT AWS Cloud Engineer, you will lead the technical aspects of Public Sector solution design, proof of concepts, deployments and modernization efforts on AWS. Primary Responsibilities: - Support our Defense and Intelligence & Homeland Security business with opportunity scoping, solution design, and deployment.
- Assess customer requirements and develop technical use cases.
- Develop innovative technical solutions using AWS and our partner ecosystem.
- Demonstrate the possibilities of cloud computing by designing and demonstrating proof of concepts (POC).
- Assist with migration and modernization opportunities.
- Assist in developing cloud architectures and initial scoping for rough-order-of-magnitude (ROM) pricing.
- Document AWS deployed solutions and environments.
- Work with a multi-disciplinary team to capture engagement intellectual capital and formalize learnings into formal methodologies and templates.
- Develop and deliver briefings and presentations to the internal GDIT technical, capture, and account teams.
- Mentor other cloud engineers in cloud technologies.
- Ensure adherence of target cloud environments with federal frameworks like FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, RMD, CMMS, FISMA, DoW IL5-IL7 or HIPAA.
Required Qualifications: - Undergraduate degree (BA/BS) with five (5) years of practical AWS cloud migration experience or a high school diploma with eight (8) years of practical cloud migration experience.
- A minimum of six (6) successful cloud solutions.
- Proficiency in capturing customer requirements, developing use cases, and designing solutions.
- Deep knowledge of AWS Networking in highly secure environments.
- Experience with Landing Zones (LZ) and Trusted Secure Enclaves (TSE).
- Deep knowledge of at least four (4) of the following AWS technology types: Infrastructure (Compute and Storage), Security & Identity, Developer Tools, Cloud Migration and Modernization, GenAI/AI/Machine Learning, Databases, Customer Experience, or Application Integration.
- Experience with Defense, Intelligence, and/or Homeland Security AWS deployments
- AWS Certified Solution Architect - Associate
- Location: Washington DC Metro.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- US Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience delivering across all phases of the AWS Migration Acceleration Program (MAP) and methodology.
- AWS cloud migration experience with hands-on experience with native AWS and/or 3rd party migration tooling.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code using the AWS SDK, Cloud Formation, Terraform, Ansible, Python, CDK or similar.
