In this role, you will perform testing per Engineering Test Procedures (ETPs), execute and document UL tests, and ensure accurate, compliant performance within an ISO 17025 laboratory environment. You will support daily lab operations including test setup, calibration activities, sample movement, and maintenance of lab equipment and test environments.<br>This role requires technical leadership, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work independently while supporting broader Laundry Lab operations.<h2></h2><h2><span class="emphasis-3">Position</span></h2>Regulatory Engineering Technician<h2></h2><h2><span class="emphasis-3">Location</span></h2>USA, Louisville, KY<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h2><span class="emphasis-3">How You'll Create Possibilities</span></h2><div><ul><li>Apply technical expertise and in‑depth knowledge of appliances, specialized test environment equipment, test software, and industry standards to review test plans, validate test appropriateness, and modify test setups as required.</li><li>Calibrate, prepare, and maintain test environments in accordance with regulatory and lab requirements.</li><li>Initiate testing and data acquisition; prepare test documentation and maintain accurate records aligned with ISO 17025 policies.</li><li>Interpret test results, document failures in FRACAS, and support engineers with root cause analysis and alternative solutions.</li><li>Move engineering samples between test, preparation, and storage areas.</li><li>Maintain lab supplies, consumables, tools, and equipment to support safe and compliant operations.</li><li>Perform unboxing, software updates, Wi‑Fi commissioning, unit preparation, and test load setup.</li><li>Study and learn laboratory instrumentation, UL standards, test methods, and lab procedures.</li><li>Participate in EHS compliance, safe work practices, and weekly 5S activities.</li><li>Collaborate across Laundry Labs and broader Technology teams to support shared business goals.</li></ul></div><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h2><span class="emphasis-3">What You'll Bring to Our Team</span></h2><div><ul><li>Demonstrated leadership‑level expertise in laboratory operations, including governance of test equipment, calibration programs, test software, and preventative maintenance.</li><li>Strong understanding of test equipment, instrumentation, and laboratory practices.</li><li>Ability to troubleshoot test setups and ensure measurement accuracy.</li><li>Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision while exercising sound judgment.</li><li>Strong time‑management, organizational discipline, and attention to detail.</li><li>Mechanical and technical aptitude, including experience applying thermocouples and using test fixtures for unit setup.</li><li>Physical capability to support hands‑on work, including moving and positioning large appliances (washers and dryers) safely.</li><li>Minimum 3 years of experience in a technical or laboratory environment.</li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office.</li></ul><h2><b>Preferred Qualifications</b></h2><ul><li>Minimum 5 years of laboratory experience with increasing responsibility and leadership in troubleshooting appliances, test stations, or complex equipment.</li><li>Experience serving as a technical resource or operational leader within a laboratory setting.</li><li>2‑year technical degree or military equivalent.</li><li>CPR/AED certification.</li><li>Knowledge of appliance operation.</li><li>Understanding of safety standards (UL, ANSI, CSA).</li></ul></div><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h2><span class="emphasis-3"><b>Our Culture</b></span></h2><p style="text-align:left"><span>Our work is centered on our People and Culture as reflected in our Zero Distance philosophy and we recognize the importance of reaffirming our commitment to inclusion and diversity (I&D).
