Facilities Director
These roles are responsible for managing and overseeing the day-to-day functions that support UVA Physicians Groups (UPG) physical and logistical needs. Staff in these positions work to ensure that facilities are well-maintained, operational processes are efficient, and UPG environments are welcoming and functional.
These roles are responsible for overseeing UPG buildings and facilities, including leasing, maintenance, and tenant relations. Property managers ensure that UPG properties are well-maintained, safe, and compliant with regulations, while also handling space allocation and usage.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Essential Functions of the Job: - Represents people leaders (hire/fire authority) with majority of time spent overseeing their area of responsibility. Achieve goals through direct and/or indirect reports.
- Manages a Department, Division or multiple Job Areas.
- Accountable for the performance and direction-setting of Department, Division or Job Areas.
- Develops solutions to complex, cross-functional problems that require the application of extensive experience-based subject matter knowledge.
- Requires the ability to influence others to accept practices and approaches.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities): Education: - Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or related discipline.
Experience: - 8 or more years of related experience. Four additional years of relevant level experience may substitute for a degree.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position will have positions reporting to it. WORKING CONDITIONS: This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers.
