The KTA Field Application Specialist is responsible for driving growth of lab KTA systems and chromatography consumables by partnering with Sales and AMs to deliver highlevel technical expertise across the customer lifecycle, while building strong, longterm customer relationships through consultation, training, and problemsolving. This position reports to Discovery KTA Applications Leader and is part of the Cytiva Discovery Team, located in San Deigo and will be working remotely to cover US Southwest territory. *You must reside in or near San Diego, CA. What you will do: - Drive growth of labscale KTA systems and chromatography consumables by partnering with Account Managers and Sales Specialists to support customers across the sales cycle.
- Provide highlevel technical expertise during pre and postsales activities, including customer consultations, instrument demonstrations, training, troubleshooting, seminars, and promotional events.
- Support customer purification and manufacturing projects by shaping early workflow and resin designin through application expertise, presentations, and limited bench work.
- Contribute to regional revenue targets and business objectives by providing market, customer, and product insights to sales strategies and account plans as part of the core account team.
- Build and maintain strong, longterm customer relationships to improve satisfaction, retention, and opportunity development, while providing competitive insights and customer feedback to internal stakeholders.
Who you are: - Bachelors Degree (Sciences, Engineering, or related)
- 3+ years of handson lab experience in biotech, pharma, or academia with protein purification using labscale KTA systems, UNICORN software, and chromatography resins
- Demonstrated experience delivering technical presentations, training, or consultations and communicating complex scientific information while supporting multiple projects and stakeholders in a matrixed organization
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: - Ability to travel overnight 25-30% within the assigned territory
- Must have a valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: - Lab-scale column packing
- Developing technical training
- Downstream process development
- Advanced degree

The annual salary range for this role is $110,000-128,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
