The RG Biomanufacturing Operator I is responsible for performing tasks associated with Aldevrons Research Grade (RG) services within the Upstream department. The RG Biomanufacturing Operator I is expected to become familiar with all of Aldevrons products and to be able to perform most tasks associated with the purification of plasmid DNA. This position reports to the RG Upstream Supervisor and is part of the RG Upstream team. located in Fargo, ND and will be an on-site role. Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:00AM-3:30PM. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Perform various laboratory practices like bacterial inoculation and harvest, transformation, cell banking, linearization, and gel electrophoresis utilizing E. coli bacteria Perform plasmid purification and assessment using agarose gel electrophoresis Train in functions performed across other teams within the Research Grade building
The essential requirements of the job include: Education: High school Diploma required. Associates degree in biology, chemistry, or molecular biology preferred. Demonstrates strong problem solving, critical thinking and time management skills. Demonstrates ability to follow written instructions and work effectively in a team-based environment.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: Microbiology Laboratory experiences
