TheGlobal Sustainability Program Manageris responsibleforfor leading sustainability programs across Cepheids footprint.This role drives measurable improvement in energy management and waste minimization, using Danaher Business System (DBS) tools to standardize, mature, and sustain results.This role supports Cepheid achieving Danahers climate ambition of reducing absolute emissions across Scope 1 & 2 by 50.4% (compared to 2021 baseline) and the development of Scope 3 baseline inventory. This role will include opportunities to grow and pursue Danahers internal certified practitioner (CP) and/or professional certifications. This position reports to theSr. Manager EHSand is part of theEnvironmental Sustainability team located inBothell, WAand willbe an on-site role.Additionally, Lodi/Newark/Sunnyvale (CA) would be considered.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to: - Own the global program roadmap to sustain and mature site energy, waste, and decarbonization initiatives across Bothell (WA), Lodi/Newark/Sunnyvale (CA), Solna (Sweden), and Bangalore (India); ensure consistent reporting, alignment with KPIs, and cadence.
- Apply DBS tools (e.g., problem solving, daily management, standard work, kaizen, visual management, waste minimization, energy management) to drive adoption, measurable outcomes and sustainment.
- Deliver and/or enable projects that leverage operational efficiencies to reduce Scope 1 & 2 emissions (e.g., energy efficiency, electrification, waste reduction, renewable energy credits).
- Lead and/or enable Scope 3 data collection and cross-functional engagement; play a key role in the 2026 Scope 3 project with Danaher, Cepheid and other operating companies.
- Build executive-ready presentations (dashboards, business cases, tradeoffs, and recommendations) and influence senior leaders across sites and functions without direct authority.
The essential requirements of the job include: - Bachelors degree with 8+ years of work experience OR Masters degree with 5+ years of work experience in Sustainability, Environmental Science/Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical/Industrial/Mechanical Engineering.
- Demonstrated experience leading sustainability, energy, environmental, or operational excellence programs.
- Demonstrated track record delivering energy efficiency and/or waste minimization projects with measurable results (examples required).
- Working knowledge of greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting across Scope 1, 2, and 3, including experience compiling and improving emissions inventories using sustainability data platforms (e.g., Benchmark Gensuite, Sphera) and supporting supplier/customer sustainability assessments (e.g., Ecovadis), and KPI tracking.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:if applicable for role - Ability to travel up to 25% , prefer ability to travel international as well
- Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 35lb, any other physical requirements.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: - Strong stakeholder leadership:able to connect with people at all levels, influence cross-functionally, and communicate effectively with executives across cultures/geographies.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CEM, LEED, ISSP, ISO 14001/50001, and GHG-related credentials).
- ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 management systems, in an FDA-regulated industry or similar highly regulated manufacturing environment.

The annual salary range for this role is$120,000.00 to $160,000.00.This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay. We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
