Join us!  </span></span><br /> </p><p><span><span>As a Software Engineer, you will be working on the Simulation Software team, playing a key role in the development of an advanced training simulator for our cutting-edge medical robot system. You will be interacting closely with Clinical and System Engineering, UX Design, Software Infrastructure, Robotics and Controls to implement a user-centric training platform that is first of its class.  We are looking for a highly motivated candidate who is interested in revolutionizing the world of robotic surgery simulation. </span></span><br /> </p><p><span><b><span>Core Job Responsibilities</span></b><span> </span></span></p><ul><li><p><span><span>Design and implement software libraries, applications, and tools in C&#43;&#43; for deployment on the simulator and robot subsystem.  </span></span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span><span>Work with software and other engineers (clinical, systems, mechanical, electrical) as part of a focused cross-functional team developing software for the training simulator. </span></span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span><span>Drive the architecture and design of software components. </span></span><br /> </p></li></ul><p><span><b><span>Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, And Experience</span></b><span> </span></span></p><ul><li><p><span><span>Minimum B.S (Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent) and 2 years&#39; experience in C&#43;&#43; development and Object-Oriented development or M.S. </span></span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span><span>Experience working with Hardware and product bring up required. </span></span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span><span>Strong knowledge and experience with Linux are required. </span></span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span><span>Experience with Networking in a distributed system is preferred. </span></span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span><span>Experience with Python, CMake, Bash preferred. </span></span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span><span>Position is located in Santa Clara, CA and may require up to 5% travel. </span></span></p></li></ul><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p></p><p></p><p><b>Required Skills:</b></p><p> </p><p> </p><p><b>Preferred Skills:</b></p>Analytical Reasoning, Coaching, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Process Oriented, Product Design, Requirements Analysis, Research and Development, SAP Product Lifecycle Management, Scripting Languages, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Development Management, Software Engineering Practices, Software Testing, Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Technical Credibility, Technologically Savvy<p> </p><p> </p><p><b><span>The anticipated base pay range for this position is :</span></b></p>$106,000.00 - $170,200.00<p></p><p></p><p><u>Additional Description for Pay Transparency:</u></p>Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).<br><br>For additional general information on Company benefits, please go to: - https://www.careers.jnj.com/employee-benefits<br><br><br>This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.<br><br><br><br>Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:<br><br>Vacation –120 hours per calendar year<br><br>Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year<br><br>Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year<br><br>Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year<br><br>Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child<br><br>Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year<br><br>Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days<br><br>Volunteer Leave – 32 hours per calendar year<br><br>Military Spouse Time-Off – 80 hours per calendar year
