Medical Laboratory Scientistat Providence Little Company of Mary Torrance in Torrance, CA. This position is full-time and will work 8-hour, Variable shifts.

The Clinical Laboratory Scientist is responsible for specimen processing, test performance, test result reporting, and clerical and patient care support services. The CLS provides service in one or more sections of the laboratory with a high level of accuracy, precision and timeliness and ensures compliance with departmental and regulatory agency standards. Service is provided to patients of all age groups: premature infants, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, young, middle and older adults. Non-technical duties include taking supply inventories, stocking supplies, cleaning and maintaining work area, equipment and instrumentation. The CLS provides service in a safe and professional manner and works within the established policies and procedures of the Laboratory and the Organization.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Science



• California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License California upon hire



• One (1) year experience in clinical laboratory in area of responsibility



• One (1) year must meet CLIA requirements for testing personnel, moderate to high complexity tests

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
