Description

The Switchboard Operator position is responsible for answering the hospitals main lines, responding to the customer, and processing the call in the most efficient and expedient manner; for public address paging, remote pager paging, radio paging, inputting physician messages, providing customers with physician contact information, monitoring and responding to all hospital/campus alarms and emergency procedures, documenting and maintaining files of all communications materials. The position contacts cath-lab on-call staff for emergency medical procedures, contacts on-call bio med, maintenance, spiritual care, and administration staff, and processes all calls and messages to SSIP physicians.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years Switchboard experience.
