The Winning with Data (WWD) capability in AbbVies International Commercial Business is driving the transformation of the organization into a data and insights driven decision-making organization and isseeking a talented Data Engineer tojoinour data engineering team.In this role, you will play a critical part in designing, building, andmaintainingdata solutions using Palantir Foundry to support our data-driven initiatives. This individual will bea key member of our Data Engineering teamand willberesponsible fordesigning, developing, andmaintainingdata pipelines, ensuring data quality, and driving innovation through data engineering solutions. In this role you willbe responsible for: - Planning, building, and running enterprise class information management solutions on Palantir Foundry.
- Designing, developing,testing,andmaintainingdata pipelines to support Analytics projects within Commercial.
- Design, implement, andmaintainscalable Functions in Palantir Foundry.
- Buildingdata products and service processes which perform data transformation, metadata extraction, workloadmanagementand error processing management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into robust and efficient solutions.
- Develop andoptimizeETL processes to ensuretimelyandaccuratedata delivery to various business applications.
- Implementingstandardized, automated operational and quality control processes to deliveraccurateandtimelydata and reporting.
- Adheringto best practices for coding, testing, and designing reusable code/component.
- CollaboratingwithDataAnalystsandScientiststo enable streamlined data flow for the Commercial Analytics capabilities across brands.
- Ensuringappropriate securityand compliance policies are followed for information access and dissemination.
- Defining and applying information quality andconsistencybusiness rules throughout the data processing lifecycle.
- Collaborating with information providers to ensure quality data updates are processed ina timelyfashion.
- Working in self-responsible Agile Teams.
Tools and skills you will use in this role:
Qualifications
Required: - Bachelors Degree with 6 years experience; Masters Degree with 5 years experience; PhD with 0 years experience.
- 4+ years of experience in data engineering, preferably within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
- Experience in data processing roles such as ETL/Big Data developer, dataanalystand/or BI analytics developer.
- Experience with cloud platforms, big data platforms and one or more general purpose programming languages, including but not limited to: Python, SQL, Spark, Amazon Web Services.
- Experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT workflows and integrating data from multiple sources.
- Experience with DevOps principals and version control.
- End-to-end experience with data, including querying, aggregation, transformation, modeling, analysis, and visualization.
- Good communicationand presentation skills, being able to explain complex problems and the solutions applied, and comfortable in presenting technical solutions to a nontechnical audience.
Preferred: - Experience with enterprise data tools such as Palantir Foundry, Databricks, Snowflake, etc. is a plus.
- Affinity to either performanceoptimizing, user experience design, automatedtestingand/or data science.
- Proficiency with Git.
