JOHNSON &amp; JOHNSON Medtech – Neurovascular division offers a broad portfolio of devices used in the endovascular treatment of hemorrhagic and ischemic stroke.</p><p></p><p><b>What are we looking for?</b></p><p>We are seeking a driven Senior Financial Analyst to own inventory analytics, SLOB (slow‑moving &amp; obsolete inventory) mitigation strategies, implementing annual cost revision simulations and standards setting processes, and drive implementation of improved J&amp;J system structures with agility. In this high‑impact role, you’ll combine hands‑on accounting with strategic analysis and process innovation to transform inventory performance across the business and, in partnership with the U.S. Supply Chain Finance Manager, support attainment of cash‑flow targets. The ideal candidate is eager to develop and maintain strong cross-functional partnerships with commercial, supply chain, and planning teams to ensure coordinated decision-making and consistent execution of inventory objectives.</p><p></p><p>All employees are responsible for ensuring compliance to Sarbanes Oxley requirements and supporting compliance processes. You are also required to enforce all company guidelines, policies and procedures related to Health, Safety and Environmental, and ensure personal and company compliance with all Federal, State, local regulations.</p><p></p><p><b>Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>Lead inventory and SLOB analysis: aging, velocity, cycle counts, and SKU-level profitability to identify at-risk inventory.</li><li>Develop and execute SLOB mitigation strategies (liquidation, rework, price adjustments, demand shaping) and quantify financial impact.</li><li>Prepare and post month-end journal entries related to inventory adjustments, reserves, and cost center allocations.</li><li>Reconcile balance sheet inventory accounts (inventory GL, SLOB reserves, accruals, intercompany) and maintain audit-ready supporting schedules.</li><li>Reconcile cost variances to budget/forecast, investigate drivers, and present recommendations to reduce adverse variances.</li><li>Build and maintain models and dashboards to track inventory KPIs (SLOB %, days inventory outstanding, inventory turns, reserve accuracy).</li><li>Develop, implement, and maintain standard costing methodologies for all U.S. manufacturing sites, ensuring consistency with accounting policy and operational practices.</li><li>Collect and validate operational inputs (BOMs, routings, time standards, labor rates, overhead drivers) in partnership with manufacturing, engineering, procurement, and planning teams to ensure accurate cost build-ups.</li><li>Configure and maintain costing master data in the ERP/costing module, manage cost roll-ups, and validate rolled-up costs against source data and business expectations.</li><li>Drive and maintain compliant new systems implementation with upcoming J&amp;J MedTech programs. Become the liaison within U.S. manufacturing sites.</li><li>Communicate findings and recommended actions to finance leadership and business stakeholders, support implementation and measure outcomes.</li><li>Manage external manufacturing partnerships with Supply Chain Finance Manager and perform monthly invoice reconciliations against Master Purchasing Agreements.</li><li>Drive process improvements and automation (e.g., standard work, templates, reporting cadence, system enhancements) to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Qualifications:</b></p><p><u>Required:</u></p><ul><li>A minimum of a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or other business-related degree</li><li>A minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Accounting, Finance, or Consulting</li><li>Legal authorization to work in US</li><li>Relationship-building skills, including <b>stakeholder management</b></li><li>Ability to navigate complex financial systems and analyses</li><li>Demonstrated <b>problem solving</b> skills, including analyzing information and making reasoned decisions based on analysis</li><li><b>Microsoft Office</b> proficiency, including the use of various programs to perform daily tasks</li><li>This position is located in Irvine, CA, and may require up to 10% travel</li></ul><p><u>Preferred:</u></p><ul><li>CPA</li><li>Experience using data visualization tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI, etc. and data analysis tools such as SAP, Anaplan, etc.</li><li><b>Learning agility</b>, including the integration of new knowledge and experiences quickly</li></ul><p></p><p>Johnson &amp; Johnson is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
