Job Description
Role Overview:The Chief of Staff for Precision Medicine serves as a strategic partner to the leadership team, supporting the alignment and execution of organizational initiatives within the Precision Medicine function. This role acts as a central liaison among discovery research leadership, Chief of Staff colleagues, finance, and other key stakeholders, ensuring effective collaboration and successful project delivery aligned with organizational and partner goals. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate closely with discovery research leadership to align project priorities and strategic initiatives.
- Manage planning of the Precision Medicine (PMed) asset team portfolio in collaboration with the Head of Biomarker Programs Management, ensuring a comprehensive and strategic approach to asset progression.
- Serve as a bridge between Precision Medicine and partner organizations, facilitating successful implementation of joint initiatives.
- Work alongside other Chiefs of Staff, finance, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive seamless execution of organizational priorities.
- Coordinate and ensure the scheduling of cross-functional review forums as key stage gates for each therapeutic area (TA), supporting effective portfolio governance and timely decision-making.
- Ensure that portfolio alignment and asset planning are closely integrated with budget forecasting and finance teams in discovery research, driving operational excellence and financial discipline.
- Monitor progress on key initiatives, identify risks, and ensure timely delivery of outcomes.
- Establish clear communication channels between internal teams and external partners.
- Support budgeting, resource planning, and performance tracking for precision medicine projects.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing informed recommendations and guidance.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in a scientific, medical, or business field preferred.
- Significant experience in precision medicine, drug discovery, or a related discipline.
- Strong organizational, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proven ability to operate in a complex, matrixed environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
