(JACKSON, Miss.) – Jackson State University’s Division of Student Life and Division of Athletics will host the 15th annual Blue and White Tiger Bash from 6-9 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 30, in the Lee E. Williams Athletics and Assembly Center. The event is free and open to the public.
“We are thrilled to show our Tiger Pride by inviting the community to celebrate JSU with us,” said Associate Director for Campus Life, Lori Jackson-Stewart. “JSU employees and alumni have been working diligently to make this a fantastic event.”
The Blue and White Tiger Bash provides the momentum for the kickoff of JSU’s football season by igniting school unity and pride within the JSU community.
The Tiger Bash will be hosted by DJ Unpredictable from Hot 97.7 FM with participating JSU groups including cheerleaders, the Sonic Boom of the South, the Prancing J-Settes, the Tiger Mascot/Baby Tigers and the all mighty Blue Bengal athletic teams.
The JSU Tigers will play their first game at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, at Mississippi State University in Starkville.
All Jacksonians are encouraged to don their best JSU gear on Aug. 30. There will be door prizes, food, music, and special recognition to the person who exhibits the most school spirit.
