JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Nathaniel Glover, the president of Edward Waters College, is one of four finalists for HBCU Male President of the Year.
The award recognizes what the presidents of historically black colleges and universities have done academically for their schools.
"Being one of the final four is quite an honor and I feel humbled by that," he said.
The former JSO Sheriff and EWC Alumni says the nomination also helps the school.
"I think it's a significant step," he said. "The institution wins huge credibility."
The awards will be handed out Friday in New Orleans.
